Matt posted a problem with Roller to the dev-list, and I posted an answer. His response was this:

Entry permalink anchors: Matt wanted the ability to create anchors for each blog entry, and I'd been wanting it too. I rooted around a bit and found that support is already there. I altered my current DayTemplate to look like this:

#foreach( $entry in $entries )
<p>
   <a name="$entry.anchor" id="$entry.id"></a>
   <b>$entry.title</b> $entry.text 
   <span class="dateStamp">($entry.pubTime)</span>
   $macros.showEntryPermalink($entry)
</p>
#end

Note then 3rd line. I used different values for name and id, but just as a demonstration (you must use $entry.anchor for the name else it won't work). Roller features, redux
Jeff Duska suggests that Roller allow user to change password, and wants a way to upload templates. Good ideas, but can you elaborate on "a way to upload templates"? Give us a hand, or at least contribute to the Roadmap and help guide us. What with everyone talking about SnipSnap I'm wondering if we should strive to have the same features (me too, me too) or if there are avenues where we can strike some innovation. So far the Roadmap reads either like a list of "things Roller must have to be a real blogger tool" or a list of "things Roller must do because others have done them." Which do we want to be? Let the whining roll

The Java bloggers are whining about kids. You see at the moment I'm doing this the smart way - I have nieces. It's like hiring strategic contractors - when the day is over, you can give them back.[rebelutionary]

Well, the rebel may be more strategic than us, but then he's got one less option for pity-seeking. I've got three, but they are all well past the puking-on-your-shoulder mess. One is closing in on puberty, the youngest is still struggling with not messing her pants, and the boy thankfully just sticks to normal childhood illnesses (woke me up at 2:30am puking into the toilet).
